On the first day of spring this year Ash & I went to Secrets On The Lake for our first spring Bride.  Karlee & Ryan chose a Pash & Dash Elopemnet for their special day. They bought their parents with them to be part of the fun.
Ryan and Karlee met through friends of a friends, while Karlee was on holidays back to Australia from Canada where she was living at the time. They ended up just (very clique) clicking. They then actually spent the better part of a year just getting to know each other over the phone while she was in Canada.
Karlee said “over time I guess you could say it blossomed. Because realistically, any couple that can put up with a 17hr time difference can get through anything!! So that’s also why we joke that we don’t have an ‘official start date’ so we kinda say 3 years – ish haha. Yes we’re both aware its very strange!”
Karlee & Ryan now live in Brisbane so no more long distance phone calls
As for the best part of their day
“I want to say finally getting to lay down at the end, I don’t know how normal (non-elopement) weddings do it! It feels like such a big day!! But to be honest it was a little bit sappier then that. I think it was still the moment right at the end of the day when I finally got to be alone with Ryan, and realizing it just feels right. Like just such a content and happy feeling. Its hard to explain I guess. I think the overall feel of the day was the fact it was fun, light hearted, everyone was so lovely and fun to be around! We got to laugh before, during (and yes through our vows haha), and after our wedding ceremony. We laughed the whole time getting photos. I know I laughed all morning with all you girls. It was all just such a blast!”
