Rolling Scissors joined the ABIA (Australian Bridal Industry Awards) back in 2002 after being nominated & placing 3rd in the hairdressing section. Since then we have gone on to win the award several times, including being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014.

SANDI O'NEILL
I started my hairdressing career in Sydney back in the 70’s when I was very young, well before the invention of Computers. Mobile Phones & the Internet. I worked in Sydney for a couple of years then returned home to work in Dubbo. I then moved to Wollongong where I finished my Apprenticeship & bought a Salon which I ran for a few years before going back to Dubbo. Since moving to the Sunshine Coast I have worked in a few Salons . I was giving up hairdressing but thought as I still had young kids I would give Mobile hairdressing a go so in 1994 I started Rolling Scissors Mobile hairdressing, I did my first wedding in 1995 & the rest is history. 20yrs later I’m still working following my passion & working with amazing brides & bridal parties all over the Sunshine Coast. I still attend long hair training when ever possible. I have completed long hair courses with Pivot Point, Sharon Blain & Lorna Evans to keep my skills up to date.

I first started working with Rolling Scissors back in 2013 and since then I have completed my apprenticeship, I have worked on some incredible photo shoots and weddings I’ve also been to some amazing venues and destinations.
Since finishing my apprenticeship back in 2017 I have had the privilege of worked with some amazing brands like Oroceo Castro, Ocean Zen, Wolff and Bone, Rosalbah time, Racy and lucky plus more on some amazing shoots, some even with out power and on location. My Passion for long hair has certainly grown over the years working alongside my Mum Sandi, which has lead to me to grow within myself but also my confidence.
With my ever-growing Passion of long hair my desire to learn even more is always there so far I have learnt from Lorna Evans, Natalie Anne Hair, Lizzie Liros and of course most of all from mum.
