On A beautiful misty day back on the 13th September last year I went to Possums Tale Maleny to do the hair for Elise’s wedding. The day was overcast all day & just before I left it started to rain adding a bit of a re organising for their ceremony
Elise & Ryan pulled their wedding together in a month as her Mum & Dad were in QLD, they had been travelling around in their caravan for 3months & were spending time with Elise & Ryan in Ipswich. No-one was sure with Covid restriction & worldwide pandemic when they would be able to come up again from Victoria.
First step was to contacted Kristy from Maple Weddings for their “Hitched In The Hinterland” package to help them organise everything that they wanted. She gave them a brief of what her Vision was & the girls pulled it all together for them.
Along with her Mum they went dress shopping on Hope Island & the first dress Elise tried on she loved, it was perfect & fitted beautifully, mission accomplished.
Unfortunately the venue they chose didn’t have a wet weather option so they had to moved to Plan B which was to move it to Currawong House a beautiful Georgian Style Manor in Maleny, where the Ryan was was staying & getting ready at before the wedding. What could have been a big disappointment turned into a beautiful location
Due to number restrictions they had a small amount of friends to help celebrate the day with them. After the ceremony they had a lovely dinner at Spicers Clovelly Long Apron
I received this beautiful little love note from the happy couple after the wedding
Hi Sandi,
It was an amazing day, even if the weather caused some last minute changes!
I have completed the survey. My hair was exactly how I’d hoped, so thank you.
We met on a remote island in the Gulf of Carpentaria two and a half years ago. We were both working there as teachers. We now live in Ipswich. Its so hard to choose a best part of the day. Exchanging vows was very special, as was hearing speeches from our loved ones and playing in the garden with our little girl.
