We had the absolute pleasure of doing the Hair for Renee & her girls on her wedding day. What a great bunch we had so much fun, lots of chatter & laughter on the morning of wedding get the happy vibe going. Renee got ready at The Space Between a great Air Bnb in Maleny When I sent Renee some question about her day this is what she sent back…………don’t think I could have said it any better!!
Hi Sandi
Nathan and I met in 2018 when she got a job as a scheduler for an electrical company. He was an electrician for the company in Townsville. My role was scheduling his work.
After a few months of talking outside of work on the phone and via messages, the girls in the office could see that I was becoming smitten. So they invited him to the mid year dinner as my plus one.
I went to the airport on the 3rd of August 2018 to pick him up and we spent the weekend together. It was definitely an emotional roller-coaster. Then just like that he was gone again.
The following month I schedule him a month down in Brisbane for work. Where we really bonded, it was so hard watching him leave again. I then let the company in the November, for a new role, but I didn’t see Nathan for 3 months.
Until October 2019, I would see him only a weekend here and there, until finally I bit the bullet and moved to Townsville.
Admittedly I struggled being away from my family and some other personal issues, so, I moved home without Nathan in April 2020.
He sent me a message in April of these life and for us that he wanted to start before the year was out.
In August, he left his job. I flew up, we drove down to Brisbane with only what he could fit in the ute and a trailer, plus our two dogs.
And now here we are, almost achieved everything in that April text.
Currently we are living in Raceview, but that is not where we wish to reside. We have a three year plan to move to Maleny and make our roots there eventually.
I couldn’t pin point a moment in the day. It was also magical, but I guess, when I walked down the isle and Nathan turned around to see me. The look on his face. I was in absolute awe, as was he.
Here is a poem that I wrote about Nathan if you wish to share
It was a moment that stood still in time, my eyes caught sight of you and I knew you would be mine,
We talked of a future, with our walls obscure
On the drive to the airport we made a detour
I struggled to find the words to answer
As I hoped your thoughts were “take a chance on her”
Within those 48 hours, you woken my feelings,
A connection that left me reeling
For it was you, I knew where I belong
A month went by without you by my side
You were worth the distance that we were to endure
For I knew our love would conquer.
A moon so big lit the sky, as you requested, we stood looking at the same subject
For the distance, was no longer an object
As we grew together, many challenges we would face
For neither of us were perfect in this case.
Two different people, with one thing in common
Stubbornness was not foreign.
But through it all our love would continue to blossom.
Though you challenge me, irritate me and make me angry at times,
Your tenderness, unconditional love and ability to make me giggle is what makes my heart chime.
You are my teacher, my confidant, best friend and my lover.
For the rest of my life there will be no other.
